  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon (for brownies)
  • 1 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, Melted
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 tsp Maple Syrup
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 3 tbsp Butter (for frosting)
  • 1/3 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/8 tsp Ground Cinnamon (for frosting)
  • 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups Apples, Peeled & Diced
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon (for apples)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  • Peel and dice apples; cook with sugar and cinnamon for about 5–7 minutes until soft.
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • In a large bowl, mix brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and maple syrup until smooth, then beat in eggs one at a time.
  • Gently fold dry ingredients into wet mix, then add apples carefully.
  • Pour batter into prepared dish and bake for about 25 minutes until golden.
  • Make glaze by melting butter, maple syrup, and cinnamon over medium heat, then whisk in powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Pour glaze over cooled brownies and let it set before cutting into squares.

Notes

Ensure butter is melted but not hot to avoid scrambling the eggs.
Do not over-mix the batter for soft brownies.
Use room temperature eggs for better mixing.
