Ingredients

  • Turkey Wings (4 1/2 lbs; approximately 6 wings)
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil (1/4 cup)
  • Smoked Paprika (1 Tbsp)
  • Lawry's Seasoning Salt (2 tsps)
  • Garlic Powder (2 tsps)
  • Onion Powder (2 tsps)
  • Water or Chicken Stock (1 cup)
  • All-Purpose Flour (1 Tbsp)
  • Whole Cranberries (2 cups; fresh or frozen)
  • Thyme Sprigs (4)
  • Pomegranate Juice (1 cup; premium)
  • Brown Sugar (1/2 cup)
  • Cornstarch (1 Tbsp) + Warm Water (3 Tbsp)
  • Lemon (1, sliced; optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish.
  • In a bowl, coat turkey wings with olive oil, smoked paprika, seasoning salt, garlic powder, and onion powder; marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Place seasoned wings in the baking dish. Whisk together water (or stock) and flour; pour over the wings and add cranberries and thyme.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 1 to 1.5 hours until cooked through.
  • Prepare glaze by boiling pomegranate juice, cranberries, brown sugar, and optional lemon slices; thicken with cornstarch slurry.
  • Remove foil, glaze wings, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes until caramelized. Serve immediately.

Notes

Let marinate overnight for enhanced flavor.
Consider adding minced garlic or ginger to the marinade for a flavor boost.
Allow wings to rest for a few minutes after baking to retain juiciness.
