- 8 lb bone-in spiral cut ham
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Cooking spray
- Fresh herbs and fruit for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a baking pan with cooking spray.
- In a saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, orange juice, orange zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg; simmer until thickened.
- Place ham in the prepared pan and pour half of the glaze over it. Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake the ham for 2 hours.
- Remove foil, baste with reserved glaze, and increase oven temperature to 400°F.
- Bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until caramelized.
- Serve on a platter, garnished with fresh herbs and fruit.
Notes
Use fresh orange juice for the best flavor.
Consider making the glaze a day in advance to save prep time.
