Description

This Baked Ham with Brown Sugar Glaze offers irresistible flavors from a blend of brown sugar, orange juice, and spices. Perfect for any celebration or family gathering!


Ingredients

  • 8 lb bone-in spiral cut ham
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Cooking spray
  • Fresh herbs and fruit for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a baking pan with cooking spray.
  • In a saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, orange juice, orange zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg; simmer until thickened.
  • Place ham in the prepared pan and pour half of the glaze over it. Cover tightly with foil.
  • Bake the ham for 2 hours.
  • Remove foil, baste with reserved glaze, and increase oven temperature to 400°F.
  • Bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until caramelized.
  • Serve on a platter, garnished with fresh herbs and fruit.

Notes

Use fresh orange juice for the best flavor.
Consider making the glaze a day in advance to save prep time.
Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
