Description

These Candied Carrots bring a sweet and buttery flavor to your table. Perfect for holidays or simple weeknight meals, they are quick to prepare and absolutely delightful!


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds carrots
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add carrots, salt, and pepper, sauté until starting to soften.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar and drizzle honey over the carrots, stirring to combine.
  • Pour in water, cover, and simmer until fork-tender, about 5-8 minutes.
  • Stir in unsalted butter until melted and glossy.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

Cut carrots uniformly for even cooking.
For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg with honey.
