Description

These Christmas Sugar Cookies feature a soft and buttery texture, topped with colorful sprinkles and creamy frosting. They’re perfect for holiday celebrations, easy to make, and packed with sweet flavor!


Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup Christmas sprinkles
  • 2 cups unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cups white granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • Pinch of salt
  • Extra sprinkles

Instructions

  • Sift flour and mix dry ingredients (baking powder, baking soda, salt, sprinkles) in a bowl.
  • Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  • Gradually mix in dry ingredients on low to combine.
  • Chill the dough for 10 minutes, then scoop onto cookie sheets and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C), bake cookies for 13-15 minutes until edges are golden.
  • Cool cookies on a rack before frosting.
  • Prepare frosting by mixing butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, cream, and salt until fluffy.
  • Frost cooled cookies and top with extra sprinkles.
