Description

Ingredients

  • 3 very ripe bananas

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  • Mash ripe bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth.
  • Stir in melted butter, orange zest, and orange juice until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together cardamom, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
  • Combine dry ingredients with banana mixture, followed by beaten egg and vanilla extract.
  • Fold in all-purpose flour until just combined.
  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes.
  • Let cool in loaf pan for 30 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
