Description

This Cranberry Apple Walnut Stuffing combines sweet apples, tart cranberries, and crunchy walnuts for a delightful holiday side dish that everyone will love. Perfect for Thanksgiving or any cozy dinner!


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons rosemary, chopped (or a mix of rosemary and thyme)
  • 1 loaf cranberry walnut bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Olive oil spray or cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare a baking dish.
  • Sauté onion in olive oil until translucent, then add apple and garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  • Combine cubed bread and sautéed mixture, tossing gently.
  • Mix egg, cream, stock, salt, and pepper; pour over bread and mix well.
  • Transfer to a baking dish, spray the top, and bake for 30 minutes until golden.
  • Let cool, garnish, and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature eggs when mixing wet ingredients.
