Description

These Crispy Roasted Parmesan Cabbage Steaks with Garlic Herb Butter are a delicious twist on classic cabbage. With a simple prep and mouthwatering flavors, enjoy this healthy delight for a quick dinner or a flavorful side!


Ingredients

  • 4 cabbage steaks
  • 1/3 cup olive oil (extra virgin)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 cups grated parmigiano reggiano cheese
  • 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Wash and slice the cabbage in half vertically, then slice about 1 inch thick through the stem to create steaks that hold together.
  • Combine olive oil, 1/3 cup grated Parmesan, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika in a mixing bowl.
  • Brush both sides of the cabbage steaks with the Parmesan mixture.
  • Place the remaining Parmesan in piles on the baking sheet, approximately 1/3 cup for each steak.
  • Set each cabbage steak onto its cheese bed on the baking sheet.
  • Roast the steaks in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is crispy and browned.
  • Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the roasted cabbage steaks and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
