Description

These soft and fluffy dinner rolls, brushed with honey butter, are a delightful addition to any meal. Easy to prepare, they combine simple ingredients for a deliciously comforting flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 1/4 tsp Active dry yeast (7 grams)
  • 1 tsp White granulated sugar
  • 1 Large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 TBSP White granulated sugar
  • 5 TBSP Unsalted butter (room temperature and cubed)
  • 3 cups All-purpose flour (plus 1/3 cup for adjustments)
  • 2 TBSP Unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 TBSP Honey

Instructions

  • Warm the milk to 110℉ and sprinkle yeast and sugar on it. Let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, 1 1/2 tablespoons of sugar, and salt. Add egg and butter; mix until a rough dough forms.
  • Assess dough texture; add more flour if sticky. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  • Preheat oven to 200℉. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl in the oven for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  • Punch down dough, divide into 15 equal portions, and shape into balls. Place in a greased 9×13-inch pan and let rise for another hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350℉ and bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Brush warm rolls with melted honey butter mixture after baking.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for the best results.
Let the dough rise in a warm environment for optimal fluffiness.
Experiment with flour types for desired texture.
