Description

This Easy Asian Slaw is a vibrant mix of fresh cabbage, green onions, and a tangy dressing. It’s perfect for quick dinners or as a healthy side, delivering delightful flavors with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 to 8 cups coleslaw mix
  • 2 green onions (thinly sliced)
  • sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 clove garlic (finely minced, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the rice vinegar, vegetable oil, soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, honey, and garlic until well combined.
  2. Add the coleslaw mix and green onions to the bowl. Toss everything together until the vegetables are well coated with the dressing.
  3. If possible, refrigerate the slaw for 30 minutes to enhance the flavors before serving.
  4. Garnish the slaw with sesame seeds and additional green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider adding sliced almonds or peanuts to the slaw.
This dish can be made a day in advance; just add the sesame seeds just before serving for freshness.
Feel free to customize with your favorite veggies, like shredded carrots or bell peppers.
