- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Olive oil for cooking
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber (grated and drained)
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare the meatball mixture by combining ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, parsley, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Roll the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
- Cook the meatballs by baking at 400°F for 15-20 minutes or pan-frying for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden.
- For the Tzatziki, squeeze excess moisture from grated cucumber and mix with yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, dill, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the cooked meatballs with Tzatziki sauce alongside pita, rice, or salad.
Notes
For extra flavor, add grated Parmesan to the meatball mixture.
Allow Tzatziki to chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
These meatballs can be frozen before cooking for meal prep convenience.
