Ingredients
- Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (14 count)
- Honey Ham (0.55 pound)
- Provolone Cheese (0.3 pound)
- Seasoned Salt (1.1 teaspoons)
- Dried Minced Onion (1.1 tablespoons)
- Mayonnaise (0.55 cup)
Instructions
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping them connected.

- Layer thin slices of honey ham on the bottom half of the rolls.
- Place provolone cheese slices over the ham covering the entire surface.
- Sprinkle seasoned salt and dried minced onion over the cheese.
- Top with the remaining half of the rolls, aligning edges.
- Spread mayonnaise on the exposed top surface of the rolls.
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Transfer the sandwich to the skillet with mayonnaise side down, adding mayonnaise on the top side.
- Cover the pan and cook until the bottom is golden.
- Flip carefully and cover again, cooking until both sides are golden and cheese melts.
- Serve warm, cut into portions.
Notes
You can substitute honey ham with turkey for a lighter option.
Fresh dinner rolls can be used but will lack the signature Hawaiian flavor.
For extra flavor, mix herbs into the mayonnaise before spreading.
