Description

This Easy Sakura Latte is a delightful combination of cherry blossom syrup and matcha. Its refreshing flavor and simple preparation make it a must-try for anyone looking to enjoy homemade beverages that please the palate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup milk (240 grams)
  • 4 teaspoons cherry blossom syrup
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • ½ cup hot water
  • ¼ cup cream, optional (60 grams)

Instructions

  • Sift the matcha powder using a fine mesh sieve into a small bowl.
  • Add ¼ cup of hot water (170℉ or 80°C) to the matcha and whisk until foamy.
  • Pour in the remaining hot water and gently mix to combine.
  • Combine the milk and cherry blossom syrup in a jug or bowl, mixing well.
  • Pour the Sakura milk into two large glasses filled halfway with ice cubes.
  • Slowly pour the matcha tea on top to maintain separate layers.
  • If desired, top with a bit of cream and serve.

Notes

Use a bamboo whisk for the best results in mixing matcha.
For a lighter version, omit the cream or substitute with a dairy-free alternative.
Adjust the amount of cherry blossom syrup to taste.
