- 1 cup milk (240 grams)
- 4 teaspoons cherry blossom syrup
- 2 teaspoons matcha powder
- ½ cup hot water
- ¼ cup cream, optional (60 grams)
Instructions
- Sift the matcha powder using a fine mesh sieve into a small bowl.
- Add ¼ cup of hot water (170℉ or 80°C) to the matcha and whisk until foamy.
- Pour in the remaining hot water and gently mix to combine.
- Combine the milk and cherry blossom syrup in a jug or bowl, mixing well.
- Pour the Sakura milk into two large glasses filled halfway with ice cubes.
- Slowly pour the matcha tea on top to maintain separate layers.
- If desired, top with a bit of cream and serve.
Notes
Use a bamboo whisk for the best results in mixing matcha.
For a lighter version, omit the cream or substitute with a dairy-free alternative.
Adjust the amount of cherry blossom syrup to taste.
