Description

These Kolaczki Cookies are a delightful treat with a buttery cream cheese dough and sweet jam filling. Perfect for sharing during holidays or enjoying with a cup of tea, they bring back cherished memories with every bite.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons strawberry jam
  • water
  • powdered sugar
  • extra flour

Instructions

  • Mix butter and cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  • Add vanilla extract, salt, and flour, mixing gently to avoid overmixing.
  • Chill the dough for at least one hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the chilled dough and cut into squares.
  • Add jam filling in the center of each square and fold to seal.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
