- ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ cup light brown sugar (packed)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup finely chopped pecans
- ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
Instructions
- Mix warmed milk, melted butter, egg, sugar, yeast, flour, and salt to form a dough.
- Allow the dough to rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Prepare a loaf pan and mix sugars, cinnamon, and pecans for the filling.
- Roll out the dough, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with the filling.
- Cut and stack the dough pieces in the pan; let rise again for 30-45 minutes.
- Bake at 350℉ for 30-35 minutes until golden and crusty.
- Cool, then glaze with a mixture of powdered sugar, vanilla, and maple syrup.
Notes
Store at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
For freezing, individually wrap pieces and consume within 3 months.
