These Monster Cookies combine chewy oats, rich peanut butter, sweet chocolate chips, and colorful M&Ms, making them a delightful treat for any occasion.

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 ¼ cups creamy peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (plus ½ cup for topping)
- 1 cup mini M&Ms (plus ½ cup for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in peanut butter and vanilla.
- Slowly add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined. Gently fold in oats, chocolate chips, and M&Ms.
- If dough is too soft, chill in the freezer for 15 minutes. Scoop dough onto prepared sheets and space them apart.
- Bake for 13-15 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free 1:1 baking flour.
Make sure to spoon and level flour for accuracy in measurements.
Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them soft.
