Description

These No-Bake Chocolate Cherry Bourbon Balls offer an irresistible blend of rich chocolate, tart cherries, and a hint of bourbon, making them ideal for gatherings or special occasions. Easy to prepare and full of flavor, they’re sure to be a crowd-pleaser!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup pitted sour cherries
  • ½ cup bourbon
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • â…“ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ½ cup bourbon-soaked cherries, finely chopped and well-drained
  • 12 oz dark chocolate or chocolate melting wafers
  • Optional garnish: crushed freeze-dried cherries or flaky sea salt

Instructions

  • Soak the sour cherries in bourbon and brown sugar for at least 2 hours or overnight
  • Make the ganache by heating cream, pouring over chocolate, and stirring until smooth
  • Fold in the soaked and chopped cherries into the ganache once slightly cooled
  • Scoop the mixture into mounds on a lined baking sheet and chill
  • Roll the chilled portions into balls
  • Dip each ball in melted chocolate and let the excess drip off
  • Garnish with optional toppings and allow to set at room temperature or in the fridge

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days
Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks; freeze for longer storage up to 3 months
