- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 32 oz. chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 lb. gnocchi
- 1 bunch kale (chopped and stems removed)
- 1 cup parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
- Red pepper flakes to taste
Instructions
- Cook the sausage until browned and no longer pink; set aside.
- Sauté onion in olive oil until tender, then add garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt.
- Whisk flour into the onion mixture, then gradually add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Add gnocchi and cook until they float to the top, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in chopped kale and cooked sausage, then mix in parmesan until melted.
- Serve warm with red pepper flakes if desired.
