Description

These Pizza Pinwheels are a delicious twist on classic pizza. Soft dough is filled with gooey cheese, pepperoni, and rich marinara for an irresistible snack that’s easy to prepare for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (divided)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan
  • 32 pepperoni slices
  • 2 tsp parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out pizza dough to ¼ to ⅓ inch thick on a cutting board.
  • Spread marinara sauce, leaving an inch bare on one side.
  • Sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Add mozzarella, parmesan, and pepperoni slices on top of the sauce.
  • Carefully roll the dough into a log and slice into pinwheels.
  • Arrange on the baking sheet with space between each piece.
  • Bake for 22-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  • Cool for a few minutes, then garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For a healthier option, use part-skim mozzarella or gluten-free dough.
These pinwheels can be made a day in advance and stored in the fridge.
Feel free to mix and match fillings, adding vegetables or different meats.
