This Seafood Mac and Cheese combines creamy cheese sauce, cavatappi pasta, and tender shrimp and crab for a delightful twist on a classic comfort food! It’s easy to prepare and perfect for any gathering or weeknight dinner.

- 12 ounces of cavatappi pasta
- 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 12 ounces of evaporated milk
- 1 cup of half & half
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¾ cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- ¾ cup shredded gouda cheese
- 8 ounces of cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 ounces of imitation crab meat, roughly chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook cavatappi pasta until al dente, rinse with cold water, and drain.
- Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour to create a roux, cooking until golden.
- Slowly whisk in evaporated milk and half & half until thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in seasonings, then gradually melt in the cheeses until smooth.
- Mix in pasta and seafood gently until well combined.
- Transfer to baking dish, top with remaining cheeses, and bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

For a dairy-free option, use plant-based butter and dairy-free milk alternatives.
For gluten-free, substitute cavatappi with gluten-free pasta.
Ensure shrimp is fully cooked before mixing into the dish.
