Description

This Slow Cooker Baileys Irish Cream Hot Chocolate offers a delightful blend of rich chocolate and creamy Baileys, making it the perfect warm beverage for gatherings. With simple prep and delicious key ingredients, it’s a must-try comfort drink for any chocolate lover.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz. ghiradelli semi-sweet chocolate baking squares
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 6 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup baileys® irish cream
  • marshmallows or whipped cream

Instructions

  • Break up the chocolate squares and place them in the slow cooker.
  • Add the remaining ingredients except for the Baileys Irish Cream.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH for 1.5 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
  • Once the cocoa mixture is hot, stir in the Baileys Irish Cream.
  • Serve in mugs with whipped cream and a bowl of marshmallows on the side, allowing everyone to serve themselves.
  • Set the slow cooker to warm; it can keep warm for up to 3 hours, but stir often.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amount of Baileys to taste for different levels of richness.
This hot chocolate pairs well with a variety of toppings beyond marshmallows, like chocolate shavings or cinnamon.
For an extra-chocolatey flavor, consider adding chocolate chips alongside the melted chocolate.
