Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C), and grease a loaf pan.
- Whisk together dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
- Combine molasses and hot water until smooth.
- Cream butter and brown sugar until light.
- Beat in egg and vanilla until fully combined.
- Alternately mix in dry ingredients and molasses mixture until just combined.
- Pour batter into the loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes until golden.
- Prepare the orange glaze and drizzle over the cool loaf.
Notes
For gluten-free, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend.
Store wrapped in an airtight container for up to 5 days at room temperature.
