Description

This Sticky Honey Garlic Pasta combines sweet and savory flavors in a creamy sauce, making it an easy and delightful meal for any occasion, ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • Honey (⅓ cup / 113 g)
  • Soy Sauce (¼ cup / 64 g)
  • Minced Garlic (2 teaspoons)
  • Apple Cider Vinegar (1 tablespoon)
  • Garlic Salt (½ teaspoon)
  • Red Pepper Flakes (½ teaspoon, optional)
  • Chicken Broth (2 cups / 16 ounces / 480 g)
  • Heavy Whipping Cream (½ cup / 119 g)
  • Uncooked Spaghetti (8 ounces)
  • Cornstarch (1 tablespoon) mixed with Water (2 tablespoons)
  • Parmesan Cheese (¼ cup / 25 g, grated)
  • Fresh Parsley (for garnish)
  • Extra Red Pepper Flakes (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  • Whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, garlic salt, and red pepper flakes in a bowl and set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat chicken broth and cream over medium-high heat until bubbly.
  • Add spaghetti into the skillet, stirring to coat in the broth. Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes until pasta is al dente and liquid is mostly absorbed.
  • Create a slurry with cornstarch and water, then stir it into the skillet with the almost-cooked pasta.
  • Pour in the honey garlic sauce and stir thoroughly, simmering until the sauce thickens (2-3 minutes).
  • Remove from heat, add Parmesan cheese, parsley, and optional red pepper flakes.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
To make it gluten-free, substitute with gluten-free pasta and tamari soy sauce.
Experiment with different pasta shapes according to your preference.
