Ingredients

Scale
  • 15.25 ounces strawberry cake mix
  • 8 ounces block cream cheese
  • ⅓ cup cream cheese chips
  • 2 (10 oz) bags Ghirardelli vanilla melting wafers
  • ½ cup Wilton pink candy melts
  • ½ cup Wilton bright pink candy melts
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Bake strawberry cake mix for 5 minutes to heat treat and enhance flavor, then cool completely.
  • Beat softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy in a medium bowl.
  • Combine cooled cake mix with cream cheese, mixing until a dough forms.
  • Fold in cream cheese chips evenly into the dough.
  • Chill mixture covered with plastic wrap for 2 hours.
  • Roll chilled dough into smooth balls and place on parchment-lined baking sheets.
  • Melt vanilla melting wafers using a double boiler or microwave.
  • Dip each dough ball into melted wafers, tapping off excess coating.
  • Decorate with sprinkles while the coating is wet.
  • Melt pink candy melts in piping bags and drizzle over truffles.
  • Allow truffles to set completely at room temperature before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
Chill dough longer than the recommended time for firmer truffles.
Reheat melted coating gently if it thickens.
