Ingredients
- Deep Dish Pie Crusts (2 x 9” cans, 14 oz, 400g)
- Strawberry Jam (4 tablespoons)
- Large Egg (1)
- Milk (1 tablespoon)
- Turbinado Sugar (1-2 tablespoons)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out pie crust if necessary and cut into squares and heart shapes.
- Whisk egg and milk for the egg wash.
- Place pastry squares on the baking sheet and add strawberry jam to the center.
- Fold corners of the squares to the center to seal, using egg wash to stick them together.
- Top with heart cutouts and brush with egg wash, sprinkling sugar on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
