Description
These wonderful Sugar Cookie Cinnamon Rolls combine soft sugar dough with a creamy cinnamon filling, perfect for festive occasions or cozy mornings. Whip them up quickly and enjoy their irresistible flavor topped with cream cheese icing.

- 1 cup Milk
- 2 1/4 tsp Active dry yeast
- Sprinkle of sugar
- 1 Large egg
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
- 3 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- 3 TBSP White granulated sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp Cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/3 cup Christmas sprinkles
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
- 2/3 cup White granulated sugar
- 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
- 2 TBSP Milk
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1 TBSP Ground cinnamon
- 4 oz Cream cheese
- 4 TBSP Unsalted butter
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300℉ and bake 1 1/2 cups of flour for 8 minutes.
- Heat milk to 110℉, sprinkle yeast and sugar, let sit until bubbly.
- Mix dry ingredients: 3 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt; add milk mixture, egg, and butter.
- Knead dough until tacky, perform windowpane test.
- Let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Prepare sugar cookie dough with remaining ingredients.
- Combine butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for filling.
- Roll out dough, spread filling, and shape rolls.
- Let rolls rise in a baking dish for 20 minutes.
- Bake at 375℉ for 25-28 minutes.
- Make icing by blending cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
- Spread icing over warm rolls and top with sprinkles.
Notes
For dairy-free, use non-dairy butter and milk substitutes.
You can freeze rolls for up to 3 months, reheat in a 350℉ oven.
Try adding nuts or dried fruits to the filling for extra flavor.
