Description

This Superfood Blueberry Lemon Shot combines fresh blueberries and ginger for a vibrant flavor. Perfect for a quick, healthy boost!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups (296 g) fresh blueberries, (or frozen)
  • 2 medium lemons, (peeled, quartered)
  • 2-inch piece (about 20 grams) fresh ginger root, (peeled, sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons honey, (raw preferred for extra benefits)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup coconut water

Instructions

  1. Combine the blueberries, peeled lemon quarters, ginger slices, honey, black pepper, and coconut water in a blender.
  2. Blend the mixture on high until smooth for 30 to 60 seconds.
  3. Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl, using a spoon to help the juice through. For extra smoothness, use cheesecloth.
  4. Fill small glasses or shot bottles with the juice using a funnel. Repeat with all juice.
  5. Seal the containers or cover the glasses and refrigerate to chill before serving.
  6. Stir or shake the shot just before drinking, as some natural separation may occur.

Notes

For a sweeter shot, adjust honey to taste.
Experiment with adding other fruits like strawberries or raspberries for variation.
