- 2 cups (296 g) fresh blueberries, (or frozen)
- 2 medium lemons, (peeled, quartered)
- 2-inch piece (about 20 grams) fresh ginger root, (peeled, sliced)
- 2 tablespoons honey, (raw preferred for extra benefits)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup coconut water
Instructions
- Combine the blueberries, peeled lemon quarters, ginger slices, honey, black pepper, and coconut water in a blender.
- Blend the mixture on high until smooth for 30 to 60 seconds.
- Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl, using a spoon to help the juice through. For extra smoothness, use cheesecloth.
- Fill small glasses or shot bottles with the juice using a funnel. Repeat with all juice.
- Seal the containers or cover the glasses and refrigerate to chill before serving.
- Stir or shake the shot just before drinking, as some natural separation may occur.
Notes
For a sweeter shot, adjust honey to taste.
