Description

These Pork Dinner Recipes So Good You’ll Want Them on Repeat feature tender pork chops cooked in a sweet and smoky sauce, perfect for cozy dinners and gatherings with family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 boneless pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup Dr Pepper (not diet)
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon cold water

Instructions

  • Arrange the pork chops in a slow cooker and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Scatter sliced onion and minced garlic over the pork.
  • In a bowl, whisk together Dr Pepper, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
  • Pour the sauce over the pork chops in the slow cooker, ensuring they are well-coated.
  • Cover and cook on Low for 6 hours or High for 3 hours until tender.
  • Mix cornstarch with cold water to create a slurry and stir into the sauce in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on High for an additional 15 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with the sauce.

Notes

Use a sweet onion for a milder flavor that caramelizes well.
If using bone-in pork chops, increase cooking time slightly for tenderness.
Experiment with different barbecue sauces to customize the taste.
