Ingredients
- Whole water chestnuts (1 can, approx. 225 g)
- Center cut bacon (1 package, approx. 340 g)
- Ketchup (240 ml)
- Brown sugar (200 g, packed)
- Worcestershire sauce (15 ml)
- Toothpicks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Drain and pat dry water chestnuts.
- Cut bacon into thirds and wrap each water chestnut tightly, securing with a toothpick.
- Place on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes until the bacon begins to crisp.
- In a saucepan, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce over medium heat until thick.
- Drizzle the sauce over the wrapped water chestnuts and bake for an additional 25 minutes until the bacon is crispy.
- Serve warm with toothpicks.
