Description

These Valentine Chocolate Covered Pretzels are a delightful combination of salty and sweet. With simple ingredients and quick prep, these treats are perfect for sharing love on special occasions. Whether for parties or cozy evenings, they’re a must-try homemade delight!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces (226g) semi-sweet or white chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil or coconut oil
  • 4 cups pretzels
  • optional: sprinkles for topping

Instructions

  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • Melt chocolate by either using a double boiler or microwave; for microwave, combine chocolate and oil in a medium heat-proof bowl, and microwave in 20-second intervals while stirring until melted and smooth.
  • Dip each pretzel into the melted chocolate, lift using a fork, and tap on the bowl’s edge to let excess chocolate drip off. Use a toothpick to slide the pretzel onto the lined baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle toppings while the chocolate is wet. Drizzle any leftover melted chocolate over the pretzels using a squeeze bottle.
  • Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes until chocolate is set, then store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

For a fun twist, try using different types of melted chocolate.
Make sure to let the chocolate cool slightly before dipping to prevent it from becoming too thick.
Use a variety of sprinkles to make them festive for any occasion.
