Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces (226g) semi-sweet or white chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil or coconut oil
- 4 cups pretzels
- optional: sprinkles for topping
Instructions
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
- Melt chocolate by either using a double boiler or microwave; for microwave, combine chocolate and oil in a medium heat-proof bowl, and microwave in 20-second intervals while stirring until melted and smooth.
- Dip each pretzel into the melted chocolate, lift using a fork, and tap on the bowl’s edge to let excess chocolate drip off. Use a toothpick to slide the pretzel onto the lined baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle toppings while the chocolate is wet. Drizzle any leftover melted chocolate over the pretzels using a squeeze bottle.
- Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes until chocolate is set, then store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
For a fun twist, try using different types of melted chocolate.
Make sure to let the chocolate cool slightly before dipping to prevent it from becoming too thick.
Use a variety of sprinkles to make them festive for any occasion.
