- 1 cup + 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 1/4 cups Sugar
- 1 1/4 cups Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Corn Syrup
- 1 cup + 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Instructions
- Prepare a 9 x 13 inch pan with aluminum foil and grease it with butter.
- In a saucepan, combine butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, and half the cream; stir over medium heat until smooth.
- Once sugar is dissolved, add the remaining cream and boil until it reaches 240°F.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and let it cool completely.
- Once firm, cut into squares and wrap individually.
Notes
To prevent crystallization, ensure no sugar crystals remain on the pan sides while cooking.
Use room temperature cream for a smoother mixture.
You can customize flavors by adding nuts or sea salt during cooling.
