- 8 ounce block cream cheese softened to room temperature
- â…“ cup cream cheese chips roughly chopped
- 2 10 oz bags ghirardelli vanilla melting wafers
- ½ cup wilton pink candy melts
- ½ cup wilton bright pink candy melts
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Bake the cake mix for 5 minutes to heat treat it.
- Allow the cake mix to cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Fold the cooled cake mix into the cream cheese and mix until a dough consistency forms.
- Fold in the cream cheese chips until evenly distributed.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Scoop the dough into balls and place them on lined baking sheets, letting them rest for 15 minutes.
- Melt the vanilla wafers using a double boiler or microwave on low, stirring periodically.
- Dip each dough ball in the melted vanilla wafers and place them back on the baking sheet. Add sprinkles to half before the coating dries.
- Melt the pink candy melts in piping bags and drizzle over the coated truffles.
- Let the truffles set completely before serving.
