Description

These Valentine Sugar Cookie Bars combine a buttery base with colorful sprinkles and delicious frosting, making them a perfect treat for any celebration. Easy to make and delightful to share, they evoke nostalgia and create joy in every bite!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp Valentine sprinkles
  • 1 tub Duncan Hines white frosting
  • 1/4 cup Valentine sprinkles (for topping)
  • 1 Tbsp candy hearts and/or red M&Ms

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8-inch non-stick baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, mix sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla until a soft dough forms. Fold in 2 tablespoons of Valentine sprinkles.
  • Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan, pressing gently.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until edges turn golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool completely before frosting with white frosting and adding toppings.
  • Cut into 2-inch squares and serve.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
For longer storage, refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
Customize by swapping sprinkles for mini chocolate chips or nuts.
