Description

This Bacon Jam Salmon combines smoky bacon and savory salmon, glazed for an unforgettable meal. Perfect for a quick dinner or special occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2.5 pounds whole salmon filet, skin on
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup onion bacon jam
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh chives, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • Place the salmon skin-side down on the baking sheet and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the salmon, coating it evenly.
  • Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; sprinkle over the salmon.
  • Spread bacon jam evenly across the salmon surface.
  • Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until flaky and cooked to 130°F in the thickest part.
  • Let it rest for 2 to 3 minutes and garnish with parsley and chives before serving.

Notes

Avoid overcooking salmon for the best texture.
If the bacon jam is too thick, warm slightly before spreading for easy application.
Lemon slices can add aroma and flavor; consider using them before baking.
