Ingredients
- Brioche
- Large Eggs
- Whole Milk
- Maple Syrup
- Brown Sugar or Granulated Sugar
- Pure Vanilla Extract
- Ground Cinnamon
- Unsalted Butter
Instructions
- Slice the brioche into 1-inch thick slices.
- Whisk together eggs, whole milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon in a bowl.
- Dip brioche slices in the egg mixture for 5–10 seconds on each side.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook bread until golden, about 3–4 minutes per side.
- Keep finished slices warm in an oven if making multiple batches.
- Serve with maple syrup, confectioners' sugar, and fresh berries.
Notes
Use slightly stale brioche for optimal soaking without mushiness.
Room temperature eggs create a smoother custard.
For a lighter option, use non-stick spray instead of butter.
