Description

This brioche French toast is a delightful blend of buttery flavor and fluffy texture, quickly prepped in under 20 minutes. Perfect for breakfast or brunch!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices brioche
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  • Slice the brioche into 1-inch thick slices.
  • Whisk together eggs, whole milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Dip brioche slices in the egg mixture for 5–10 seconds on each side.
  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook bread until golden, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  • Keep finished slices warm in an oven if making multiple batches.
  • Serve with maple syrup, confectioners' sugar, and fresh berries.

Notes

Use slightly stale brioche for optimal soaking without mushiness.
Room temperature eggs create a smoother custard.
For a lighter option, use non-stick spray instead of butter.
