Description

Ingredients

  • Unsalted Butter: 1 stick (113 g), melted
  • Granulated Sugar: 1 cup (200 g)
  • Unsweetened Cocoa Powder: 1 cup (85 g)
  • Fine Sea Salt: ¼ teaspoon
  • Vanilla Extract: ½ teaspoon for brownies, 2 teaspoons for cheesecake
  • Large Eggs: 6 (2 for brownie, 4 for cheesecake)
  • All-Purpose Flour: ½ cup (62 g)
  • Cream Cheese: 24 ounces (680 g), softened
  • Light Brown Sugar: ½ cup (100 g)
  • Heavy Cream: ¼ cup (60 ml)
  • Caramel Sauce: ½ cup, preferably salted
  • Optional Add-Ons: Additional caramel drizzle and flaky sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  • Mix melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt until smooth; stir in vanilla and eggs, then fold in flour and spread into pan.
  • Bake for 15 minutes; cool completely.
  • In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth, add sugars, cream, eggs, and vanilla, then pour over browned base.
  • Bake for 55 minutes to 1 hour until set with a slight jiggle in the center. Cool in oven with door cracked.
  • Chill in refrigerator for at least 4 hours, then drizzle with caramel and sprinkle sea salt before serving.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for the best mixing results.
If the cheesecake cracks, a generous drizzle of caramel will enhance presentation.
