Description

Bring festive cheer to your celebrations with these Copycat Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes. With their fluffy texture and sweet marshmallow filling, they make for a delightful homemade treat perfect for any holiday gathering or sweet indulgence.


Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix (13.25 oz)
  • 3 large eggs + 1 egg yolk
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup melted salted butter
  • ¾ cup softened butter (for filling)
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • Powdered sugar (to taste)
  • 1 lb vanilla almond bark
  • Red candy melts (for drizzle)
  • Green sanding sugar (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix yellow cake mix, eggs, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 12-15 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool completely before lifting out of the pan.
  • Prepare the filling by mixing marshmallow fluff, softened butter, powdered sugar, and a bit of milk until smooth.
  • Cut the cake in half, spread the filling on one layer, and place the other layer on top.
  • Cut tree shapes from the layered cake, freeze for 30 minutes.
  • Melt almond bark in a microwave, dip each tree in the chocolate, and place on parchment.
  • Sprinkle green sanding sugar on top, then drizzle with melted red candy melts.

Use gluten-free cake mix if needed for dietary restrictions.
Let ingredients like eggs and butter sit at room temperature before mixing for the best texture.
