- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 5 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 1 cup (8 ounces) chicken broth
- ½ cup (119 g) heavy cream
- ¼ cup (25 g) finely grated parmesan cheese
- 1–2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice, optional, to brighten flavor
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Dredge the seasoned chicken in flour, shaking off excess.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and let it simmer for a few minutes to reduce slightly.
- Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring until combined; season with more salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the creamy sauce.
