- 3 medium avocados
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ – 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1–2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 small tomatoes deseeded and diced
Instructions
- Slice open the avocados lengthwise and remove the pit. Scoop the flesh into a medium-sized mixing bowl with a spoon.
- Mash the avocado gently using a potato masher or fork, leaving it a little chunky.
- Mix in cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, ½ teaspoon of salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of lime juice.
- For smoother guacamole, blend the spices while mashing. For chunkier guacamole, stir in the spices with a rubber spatula until combined.
- Fold in cilantro and diced tomatoes until evenly mixed.
- Taste and adjust with more salt or lime juice if preferred.
- Let the guacamole sit for at least 30 minutes at room temperature before serving.
- For longer storage, refrigerate, adding a pit to the middle, a splash of lime juice on top, and sealing tightly with plastic wrap to prevent browning.
- Serve at room temperature or chilled, as desired.
