Description

This Mississippi Mud Pie combines rich chocolate flavors with a silky pudding layer and a crunchy Oreo crust. Perfect for gatherings or cozy nights at home!


Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups Oreos
  • 5 TBSP + 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup + 2 TBSP Dutch-process cocoa powder
  • 1/2 TBSP cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup + 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 3 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3.9 oz instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup + 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 oz cream cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a 9-inch springform pan.
  • Blend Oreos into fine crumbs for the crust; mix in melted butter and press into the pan, then bake for 11 minutes.
  • Sift flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt for brownie layer.
  • Whisk sugar and eggs until light; mix in melted butter, oil, and vanilla, then add dry ingredients.
  • Pour brownie batter over cooled crust and bake for 27-29 minutes, then cool completely.
  • Prepare pudding by whisking heavy cream until stiff; blend pudding mix and milk, then fold in whipped cream.
  • Spread pudding layer over brownie and chill for 2 hours.
  • Make whipped cream topping and spread over pudding before serving.

Notes

Use gluten-free Oreos for a gluten-free version.
Chill layers thoroughly for easier slicing.
