Description

This Praline Crunch combines the delightful flavors of crunchy Crispix cereal and rich pecans coated in buttery caramel. It’s perfect for gatherings or snacking!


Ingredients

  • Crispix Cereal (1 box, 18 oz)
  • Pecans, Halved (2 cups)
  • Butter (1 cup)
  • Brown Sugar (2 1/4 cups)
  • Corn Syrup (1/2 cup)
  • Vanilla (1 tsp)
  • Salt (1/2 tsp)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 200°F and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, combine Crispix cereal and halved pecans gently.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar and corn syrup over medium heat until boiling. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt.
  • Pour caramel mixture over cereal and pecans, folding gently to coat.
  • Spread the mixture in a single layer on baking sheets and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Allow to cool completely on sheets before breaking into pieces.

Notes

Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for even melting of butter.
Keep a close eye on cooking times to prevent hard caramel texture.
Let the mixture cool completely for crunchy clusters.
