Description

These Red White and Blue Cheesecake Bars are a delightful dessert that’s perfect for any festive celebration. With a creamy filling and a crispy Oreo crust, they offer a simple yet impressive way to satisfy your sweet cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 30 Oreo cookies
  • 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 38 ounce packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • red & blue gel food colors

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and line a 9×13 pan with foil.
  2. Process the Oreos (cream filling included) in a food processor until they turn into crumbs.
  3. Mix in the melted butter until fully combined, then press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes and allow to cool.
  4. Place a large baking sheet filled halfway with water on the bottom rack of the oven to create steam. Preheat the oven again.
  5. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until it's creamy. Then, add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and flour, mixing until smooth.
  6. Gently add the eggs, mixing just until combined.
  7. Divide the batter into three bowls, tinting two with red and blue food coloring.
  8. Alternately spoon the colored mixtures over the cooled crust, swirling with a butter knife for a marbled effect. Avoid over-mixing.
  9. Position the cheesecake pan on the oven rack just above the pan of water. Bake for 45-50 minutes, then remove and transfer to a wire rack to cool.
  10. Allow the cheesecake to cool at room temperature for 1 hour, then refrigerate for 4-6 hours before serving.
  11. Cut into squares and serve with whipped cream and sprinkles if desired.

Notes

Ensure the cream cheese is softened for easier mixing.
You can use other colors of gel food coloring for different occasions.
Allowing the cheesecake to chill thoroughly will enhance its flavor and texture.
