Description

These Salty Potato Chip Rice Krispie Treats offer an irresistible blend of sweet marshmallows and salty kettle chips. They are easy to make and perfect for parties or as a fun treat anytime. Enjoy a delightful crunch with every bite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2 (10 ounce) bags mini marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 cups rice krispies cereal
  • 2 cups crushed kettle cooked potato chips
  • 2 ounces dark chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Spray a 9×13 inch pan with nonstick baking spray.
  2. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat, swirling until brown bits appear on the bottom, then reduce heat to low.
  3. Add one bag of marshmallows to the pot, along with ¼ of the second bag, stirring until fully melted and creamy. Turn off the heat and mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Add the rice krispies cereal and stir with a large spatula until halfway mixed, then add the potato chips and continue mixing until evenly combined.
  5. Incorporate the remaining marshmallows into the mixture until evenly distributed. Press the mixture into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with wax or parchment paper.
  6. Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth. Drizzle over the rice krispy treat mixture.
  7. Allow the chocolate to set before cutting the treats into squares and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, use flavored potato chips like cheddar or sour cream.
Store leftovers in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
These treats can be customized by adding nuts or dried fruits.
