- 2 (10 ounce) bags mini marshmallows
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6 cups rice krispies cereal
- 2 cups crushed kettle cooked potato chips
- 2 ounces dark chocolate, melted
Instructions
- Spray a 9×13 inch pan with nonstick baking spray.
- Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat, swirling until brown bits appear on the bottom, then reduce heat to low.
- Add one bag of marshmallows to the pot, along with ¼ of the second bag, stirring until fully melted and creamy. Turn off the heat and mix in the vanilla extract.
- Add the rice krispies cereal and stir with a large spatula until halfway mixed, then add the potato chips and continue mixing until evenly combined.
- Incorporate the remaining marshmallows into the mixture until evenly distributed. Press the mixture into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with wax or parchment paper.
- Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth. Drizzle over the rice krispy treat mixture.
- Allow the chocolate to set before cutting the treats into squares and serving.
