  • Dark Brown Sugar

  • Molasses
  • Large Egg
  • Pure Vanilla Extract
  • Unsalted Butter (for frosting)
  • Cream Cheese
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Pure Vanilla Extract (for frosting)
  • Brown Gel Food Dye

Instructions

  • Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices in a bowl; set aside.
  • Cream butter, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  • Mix in molasses, egg, and vanilla until well combined.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture; mix until just combined.
