Description

This Valentine Peppermint Bark features layers of smooth white and semi-sweet chocolate, enhanced with refreshing peppermint and festive candy canes, making it a delightful treat perfect for both gifting and enjoying yourself.

Ingredients

  • White Chocolate (12 ounces)
  • Semi-Sweet or Bittersweet Chocolate (6 ounces)
  • Vegetable Oil or Coconut Oil (1 and 1/2 teaspoons)
  • Peppermint Extract (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Candy Canes (2-3 regular-size)

Instructions

  • Prepare the pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Melt the first layer of white chocolate with vegetable oil and pour it into the pan, refrigerating until set.
  • Melt the semi-sweet chocolate with oil, mix in peppermint extract, and pour over the chilled white layer, refrigerating again.
  • Melt the remaining white chocolate and pour it over the semi-sweet layer. Top with crushed candy canes before chilling again.
  • Once set, remove from the pan and break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
If using milk chocolate, adjust the peppermint extract accordingly for balance.
Chill time is essential for the layers to set properly.
